This is a spiritual divine place, being in a famous excursion district Theni. Theni onwards at the distance of mearly 50 km, there is a superb falls it is SURULI falls. This place is in full of hill region.The Cumbum vally is a pet name for this exact location. SURULIPATTY is a nearby village city here. Parallel to this village, there is a river periyar, which is go along with this village.
After acrossing this village there is ARIVAANANTHA MADAM. Here the holy people belongs this village, can do BAJAN on every full moon day. MARGALI BAJAN would be specially conducted here. Then afterwards we can see KAATTUMADAM. This is a greatest SIVALAYAM here. Now we can pass this place, and we can enjoy the grapes garden all around you. Here you can have small cleft. One road is going towards SURULIYAR MINN NILLAYAM. Here there is a power station.
Now we come back to that same cleft. We start our journey towards the SURULI falls. Now we are being there. We can just see a sloppy downward path with a bridge. Left side of this bridge there is VINAYAGAR TEMPLE. Just above to this temple there is OMHKAARAANANDHA MADAM. Here we can do our yoga, thiyaana in true of silence. Now we can go up. At the top of the road left side there is MURUGAN TEMPLE called SURULINAATHAR. Here the village people can complete their holy voyage like AYYAPPAN, MURUGAN PAATHA YAATHRA any thing as like that.
AADI AMMAVASAI and THAI AMMAAVAASAI are become a holy functions as being here. On this day people can do THARPANAM to their ancestors. Here there may be a cave called KAILAASA GUGAI, which opens in a taluk UTHAMAPAALAYAM. Then from here, we can have one km distance to reach that famous SURULI falls. We can't write that place in few words. We must to enjoy it. This place is full of medicated herbs.
